Seizure Information
To request seizure/repossession services, your company will be required to send a fully completed Repossession Order, via fax or e-mail to our office. As soon as we have received your request, we will then open a file and instruct one of our bailiffs. Once our bailiff has been given the file, he/she will begin the process of taking possession of your security and when obtained, will deliver back to our yard. At the time of the repossession, our bailiff serves a Notice of Intention to Sell on the debtor and any other persons having an interest in the security. If the Notice(s) cannot be served, they will be sent by registered mail, unless you prefer to send the notices yourself. Wolfco Bailiffs is responsible for recording and securing all personal effects found in or with the vehicle/security at the time of the seizure and will provide appropriate safe keeping of the same.
Sale of Unit
If sale of the unit is required, the cost is 6% of the sales proceeds + GST (minimum $250.00). For this fee, we include:
- Storage
- Transfer of Registration (Not including Disbursements)
- Clean up, daily washing and maintenance, gas, oil, advertising, and removal and storage of personal effects.
- Taking bids, completing Declaration of Repossession and completing Sale.
Redemptions
The vehicle owner must pay the full amounts owed to you, plus all our costs incurred prior to the release. If the unit is not redeemed by the debtor, we can sell it and transfer the registration via declaration of repossession. We will also handle the collection of monies and the release of the vehicle.
If the vehicle is to be redeemed by the debtor, we will release it to him/her only after approval from yourself.
